Pottery Fest's Annual Florida Winter Antique & Collectible Art Pottery Show & Sale

January 27-28, 2007!The show will feature Art Pottery dating from the 19th century to contemporary studio potters from the United States and Europe, and beyond, including Studio Pottery from around the globe. This premiere art pottery event will feature dealers from all over the country displaying some of the rarest and most unique examples of American and European art pottery available for sale. The show will present a broad range of affordable art pottery for the beginner and the seasoned collector alike. This show is designed to delight collectors, dealers and decorators, potters and others interested in the decorative arts. The show will offer an eclectic mix of art pottery filling all 10,000 square feet of The Maitland Civic Center, which is located on the northern fringe of central Florida's Orlando loop.Some special features at the show on Saturday and Sunday will include:\'Pot Shots', an annual feature highlighting specific pottery companies. These casual booth chats are designed to be short ten to fifteen minute seminars, in which the expert presents the specific art pottery or subject and answers questions. 'Identity Crisis', a feature for show attendees, in which the public is encouraged to bring in unidentified pieces to learn more about them. "AAPA Fakes, Reproductions and Knock-offs Exhibit", compliments of the American Art Pottery Association. There are numerous examples of pottery fakes, reproductions and knock-offs in the display, which show attendees can actually see, touch and feel. "Restoration Station", a professional restoration studio will be on site showing the different stages of ceramic and art pottery restoration during show hours.
