There are a number of key ceramic manufactories located in Tangshan. Since the first China Ceramic Fair Tangshan in 1998, the annual event has been successfully held for nine years, and the number of exhibition booths amounted to 1,160 in the ninth fair.

The trade volume of the latest fair amounted to 1.82 billion RMB yuan (about 0.23 billion US dollar). The exhibitors were not only from famous domestic ceramic areas, such as Tangshan, Jingdezhen, Zibo, Liling, Chaozhou and Dehua etc, but also from the USA, UK, Italy, ROK, and other countries.

There has been increasing number of buyers in the fairs, including ceramic trade corporations, real estate corporations, supermarkets, and relvant industry associations such as China Hotel Association, etc.

Many domestic and international traders also attended the fairs for visit, trade talks and ordering. According the the organiser, China Ceramic Fair Tangshan is currently the most professional ceramic exhibition in the whole country.
