Maschinen- und Anlagenbau Lippert (Mechanical and Plant Engineering), situated in Pressath in the immediate vicinity of Germany's centre for fine ceramics around 200 km north of Munich, was founded in 1949 by Julius Lippert.
It were above all the dryers developed by Julius Lippert for the dinnerware industry which was the reason for the company's rapid growth and established its increasing fame in the ceramic industry.
The production range was greatly increased as a result of many developments made jointly with ceramics manufacturers, and new sections of the ceramics industry were gained in addition.

In the field of ceramics, business is done in the sections dinnerware, sanitary ware, technical ceramics, oven-ware and stove tiles.
For the ceramics industry Lippert manufactures jolleying and jiggering plants for cups and plates, casting plants, glazing plants, foot and rim grinding machines, finishing machines, stamping machines, dryers, plaster preparing plants, kiln automation, mate-rial handling and control systems.
One of Lippert's particular features is the capacity and willingness to make plants to customers' specifications and to link processing technology in ceramics with know-how in material handling.
The company's extraordinarily successful development in recent years is reflected in the reference list, which meanwhile includes over 2,000 machines in more than 40 countries.
