The goals of Dynamic Energy Systems are to improve present engines to run cleaner and more efficient. Develop advanced engine technologies, which will meet future needs for a cleaner environment, be more fuel efficient and have better performance than present engines.
Future engine efficiency is becoming increasingly important because of current oil supplies, alternative fuels, hybrids, bio-fuels and hydrogen. No matter which fuel is used, oil (gasoline), diesel, bio-fuels, or hydrogen one must realize the engines that run on these fuels must become even more efficient.
For example, hydrogen may be a renewable fuel, however, it is very expensive to manufacture and deliver. When you consider that, the 4-stroke internal combustion engine is less than twenty percent efficient; by making engines more efficient we extend our fuel supplies and keep it cost effective.
