Saudi Ceramic Company is one of the oldest and leading ceramic companies in the Middle East, that manufactures and markets ceramic wall and floor tiles, vitreous china sanitary wares, ceramic road markers and electric water heaters. Incorporated in 1977 in Riyadh by a group of prominent businessmen with the backing of several Saudi financial institutions, SCC today has a production capacity of 16 million m2 ceramic tiles, 1.8 million pieces of sanitary ware, 600,000 pieces of electric water heaters and 1.2 million pieces of ceramic road markers per annum and had a sales turnover of US $ 113 million in 2005.

The company, which is headquartered in Riyadh and has 5 area offices in Saudi Arabia that cover the entire Kingdom and one in Dubai, UAE as well. The factories are located in Riyadh Industrial city and are spread over 450,000-m2 areas. SCC has a total of 2 modern tile factories, one sanitary ware factory and one plant for electric water heaters and has a workforce of 1,700 people. Saudi Ceramic Company is continually developing its capabilities to meet the ever-increasing demand for higher quality modern designs of ceramic products. The factories have gone through several stages of development and expansion including advanced production lines based on the most advanced technology and processes. The company's tile plant is now undergoing a big expansion program, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2007. This will help the company to produce an additional 14 million sq.m of tiles, thus making the total tile production to 30 million sq. m per annum. SCC is also for the first time going to produce high quality porcelain tile using sophisticated technologies including LB Rollfield.

The company owns and operates 25 exclusive showrooms in all the major cities of Saudi Arabia. Today SCC is exporting to more than 35 countries and plans are underway to penetrate other markets in Europe and North America.
