Phoenix Coating Resources, Inc. is the leading producer worldwide of ceramic ingots used in electron beam physical vapor deposition (EBPVD) of thermal and environmental barrier coatings in aero-engine and land-based gas turbine engines. Qualifications exist with major engine manufacturers in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

The standard material produced is an yttria partially stabilized zirconia, but other ceramic compositions are routinely developed in close and confidential relationships with customers. Projects include pre-production ingot development to long-term manufacturing contracts.

In addition to EBPVD ingots, aggomerated thermal spray and other high-purity ceramic powders are developed and manufactured for high-temperature coating and other applications, including fuel cells, optical coatings, electronics, refractories and biomedical surfaces.

All manufacturing is accomplished in an ISO 9001(2000) certified facility.
