CERadvance Engineering Ceramics, formerly trading as Groupline Technical Ceramics, was established in 1999 focusing on design, manufacture and supply of mainly oxide ceramics. Most of the forming techniques for powder ceramics, including state of the art Ceramic Injection Moulding (CIM), are utilised to manufacture engineering ceramics for a wide range of application
Pump plungers and shafts:
Very high mechanical strengths, and the ability to be polished to very smooth surface finishes make oxide ceramics ideal materials for piston plungers and pump shafts.
Nozzles, bearings and bushes:
Pneumatic and hydraulic transport of abrasive particles inevitably leads to mechanical abrasion and wear. Proper design and correct material selection will ensure optimal life expectancy and will maintain operational parameters.
Electrical insulators:
Most oxide ceramics have excellent properties with regards to electrical insulation, possess very low loss factors and very high mechanical strength. Stability at elevated temperatures is also an important feature of these dense materials.
Boiler tube ferrules:
Combining stability and resistance to high temperatures, corrosive environments and mechanical wear, boiler tube ferrules protect tube plates against metal dusting and other corrosion mechanisms commonly found in refineries.
Crucibles and laboratory ware:
High temperature stability, chemical inertness and high temperature strength are important factors when selecting appropriate materials for crucibles.
