Ege Seramik A.S. is the important ceramic tile manufacturer since 1972. Ege Seramik's production capacity has reached 25.000.000 square meters of ceramic tiles within 2006, thanks to consistent investments in capacity expansion and modernisation of production technologies.
Ege Seramik was founded in 1972 and started production in 1975. Ibrahim Polat, one of the founding shareholders, was elected Chairman of the Board at the annual shareholders meeting held on 1 April 1976 .
In 1981 Ibrahim POLAT acquired majority shares in the company and initiated a process of continuous investment and growth for Ege Seramik.
In February 1992, Ege Seramik went to public and 15% of the shares started to trade in ISE Market. The company has now become a powerful organisation in a global scale with its capacity, product range, national and international sales and marketing organisation.
