Professional association representing arts and crafs artists and artisans, including ceramists, from the province of Quebec, Canada.

In 1949, the first professional craftsmen grouping is born, under the inspiration of Jean-Marie Gauvreau, director of the Québécois Office of agriculture and the craft industry. The Association of the professional craftsmen in Quebec (AAPQ), gathered recognized craftsmen then, like the ceramist Jean Cartier and the jeweller George Delrue.

Today, the Council gathers 800 professional craftsmen. It is the only organization to gather all the trades of art of Quebec in accordance with a selection established by technical criteria (basic control of the trades) and the occupation. Its activities generate sales of more than 10 million dollars each year and repercussions economic exceeding the 30 million dollars.
