Coombe Farm Studios has been established for over 25 years and are situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty one mile from the village of Dittisham on the River Dart in South Devon. Coombe enables students of all ages to discover and develop their creative interests through short courses tutored by professional artists including painting, drawing, printmaking and ceramics. Students get to work in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the studio and on location in the surrounding countryside and coast. Tuition is non-competitive and a mix of practical demonstrations, time alone to paint and productive critiques. Alongside lead watercolour tutor Paul Riley, established artists Jill Fanshawe Kato, Margaret Evans, Bettina Schroeder, Mic Chambers, James Stewart and Laurel Keeley teach throughout the year as part of our expanding programme of short courses. A wonderful combination of excellent tuition, artistic development and tranquil surroundings, our creative breaks allow you to learn something new while relaxing in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the UK.
