TSUKADA POTTERY
Yukio Tsukada born in Sao Paulo and son of Japanese immigrants from the city of Kumamoto, feels in his soul of an Oriental, his identity and beginnings.
He recognizes, in his roots, the path to be followed as a formation of style and applies it in the development of his work. In the decade of the nineties, he dedicated himself to new projects and began to evaluate other aspects in relation to the arts, to study other techniquesand to discover his total identification with ceramics.
At the end of 1999, he definitely directed himself toward ceramics, partipating in various courses and workshops in Sao Paulo and other cities in the Northeast of Brazil. He ended up with a specialization in Japan, in the city of Kumamoto, at Pottery Yamako, belonging to the artist Koichi Yamamoto.
There he could perfect his knowledge of Japanese ceramics its traditions, forms, colors and taste.
