Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art
Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art is a not-for-profit museum and arts center dedicated to the ceramics of George E. Ohr, the Mad Potter of Biloxi, and one of the first modern artists in the U.S. In addition to an outstanding exhibit of George Ohr's pottery, the museum provides adult classes in ceramics, painting, drawing and art appreciation, as well as community and school outreach programs. A giftshop/gallery contains striking ceramic works created by local, regional and national artists for sale to the general public. A new five building campus designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry was due to open July 2006, but will be delayed due to Hurricane Katrina. Check our website for updates!
