The Potters Shop and School is a gallery, workspace, and studio. It is most well known as THE source for pottery books and videos. Our print and online catalog lists over 800 titles in all categories including glazes, history, decoration, casting, individual potters, firing, kiln building, throwing, handbuilding, sculpture, tiles, biography, philosophy, business, health, teaching, and even children's books all at discount prices. There is always a selection of specials, out of print, and rare books as well. Our customers hail from all over the world.

Our studio is members based allowing people with clay experience unlimited access to professional facilities including 10 wheels, slab roller, extruder, large workspace with ample storage, 5 electric kilns and raku firing site with 4 gas kilns, extensive library, and lounge area. Our gallery features the work of our resident potter members and staff in earthenware, stoneware, porcelain, and raku. The shop is also the studio of the founder Steven Branfman, well known potter, teacher, writer, and author of "Raku: A Practical Approach", and "The Potters Professional Handbook."
