Rachel London Katz
Rachel london Katz,an Israeli ceramic artist. Her sculpturs are hand built, painted with angobes and underglazes. The sculptures are small, figurative, full of humor and expression.
She is a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art in Jerusalem in the Fine Arts department, specializing in sculpture and was elected to the Association of Painters and Sculptors in 1973. Pursued post-graduate studies in puppet theatre and film at Tel Aviv University. Studied jewelry modeling at Omanit school of metal crafts.
A member of the Association of Ceramicists since 1998.
Has exhibited her work at the Chelouche 30 Gallery in Neve Tzedek, and in 1998 had there a one-man show, 'Human Material'.
Participated in the Ceramics Biennale in the HaAretz Museum in October 2000. Exhibited a one-man show in the Jerusalem Theatre in November 2001.
Finalist in the Alexis de Rothschild Competition in December 2001
Chosen to represent Israel in the Cebiko Ceramic Biennale in Icheon Korea 2005
