Red Star Studios, founded in 1998 by Steven and Susan Hill, is a multi-faceted ceramics center dedicated to promoting excellence in the ceramic arts with an emphasis on functional pottery.

Our goal is two fold: to provide a supportive environment for ceramic students and artists and to foster awareness and appreciation of contemporary functional ceramics within the greater Kansas City community and beyond.

The gallery brings the finest in contemporary ceramics to the Kansas City community through special exhibitions and its diverse inventory of works by potters and sculptors from across the country. The gallery also serves as an important teaching tool for Red Star members and has become a destination point for ceramic enthusiasts and collectors nationwide.
