Pleasant Nest Pottery
I am an independent pottery with over 20 years of experience in high fire utility ware and low-fired Raku art pottery. I have recently moved to Ecuador and am working with the local community in Cotacachi and Tunibamba to bring new ideas and materials to their pottery and ceramics community. Our first efforts are simply to find adequate and available clay sources in Ecuador. The local clays are used primarily for brick production and must be amended to create a suitable ceramics product. I am working voluntarily and hope to assist the local groups by introducing new ideas and materials, enabling them to increase their production and sales.
