EarthBound Pottery
A Kiwi (New Zealand) studio potter / sculpture / artist working in a farm based studio. Accomodation on site for travellers and pottery students. EarthBound Potteries is the workplace of New Zealand potter, Janet Hyde. EarthBound Potteries is situated on a small farm 17 kilometres west of Whangarei.
From time to time overseas potters and pottery trainees work at EarthBound bringing with them new ideas and fresh enthusiasm.
Currently our range of products includes work produced by Ines Troger from Germany.
The EarthBound workshop building has been especially designed as an educational facility as well as a private studio. Pottery courses and private tuition programs are offered at EarthBound Potteries and economical on-site accommodation is available to students or travellers interested in pottery.
The atmosphere at EarthBound Potteries is one of peace and tranquility - an elevated postion, framed by beautiful mature native trees within a small farm/orchard - an artist's retreat.
