Maplewoods Pottery
Stoneware Pottery Using the Leaves of Nature. If you love pottery and nature, you will love the pieces created at Maplewoods Pottery. Each piece of stoneware pottery is unique and is one of a kind. They are stoneware fired to Cone 6 (2232 degrees) and are food and dishwasher safe.
The leaves in the woods surrounding our studio/home in Central Illinois are the inspiration and patterns for the pottery we create. We use the sycamore, maple, oak, pawpaw, hickory and ash leaves from the trees to create the shapes and imprints on our pottery. We create birdhouses and birdbaths decorated with leaves,
