Potters for Peace
We seek to offer support to potters in the developing world by integrating artistic and humanitarian concerns; build cross cultural relationships among potters worldwide; assist with appropriate technology that can be sustained using local skills and materials; help preserve cultural traditions and improve the quality of their production; build a network of potters in North America interested in peace and justice issues; develop friendships internationally between peoples who share a love of clay; assist in marketing locally and internationally.
We train potters in the local production of low cost Ceramic Water filters for the removal of micro-biological contaminants in drinking water and coordinate research with Universities worldwide and the World Health Organization.
