Earthmaid tiles owner and artist Marylou Newdigate of Knysna, South Africa creates various ranges of handmade tiles. All are based on Nature and include fishes and shells in relief, as well as fossil like impressions of a leaf on a tile. The tiles are high fired, vitreous and strong and are suitable for decorative inserts, borders on walls, floors, around fireplaces. Special tile panels are made to order as well as mirrors framed with the tiles.

Commissions for tiles in special colours, sizes and shape are undertaken, for example, house names and etc.. Marylou also creates unique mosaied panels which include the tree of life, using animals in every shape and size. These panels can be installed into the plaster of outdoor or indoor walls.
