Dutch studio craft potter. One of a kind pieces only. All of them being more of less non-functional. A private studio was opened in June 1975. Teacher-training at Gerrit Rietveld Art Academy in Amsterdam was success - fully completed in 1978. I started to work on the first collection the same year. Since that time, many different forms started to come from the wheel. It soon became clear
that forms enclosing a volume were there to stay. During a short period none-thrown forms were made. The need to turn back to the wheel however, became stronger and stronger. I finally decided to do so and stick to it. The pots are made of stoneware. They're all fired at 1280
degrees Centigrade. They're all one-off pieces.
The studio is Heemstede. This is 25 km. from Amsterdam. Public transport is available.
Studio visitors are most welcome. Please make an
appointment first.
